Hello, I’m Shaz and I am a travel blogger.

For over twenty-five years now, I have been working in the hospitality industry. During the course of this time, I have had the good fortune to travel extensively and work in countries like: Hong Kong, Switzerland, Malaysia, and Pakistan. After several years of working for other companies, I am now blessed to have established my own boutique travel company. However, this was never my ultimate dream. 

For years I had thought of starting a travel blog. However, being a single parent, I could not make time for any additional work besides what I already had on my plate.

Now, due to the unfortunate turn of events with the coronavirus pandemic, my business – alongside that of several others – has come to a screeching, unexpected halt. Therefore, I had no choice but to search for other avenues to generate income. Furthermore, my daughter has turned eighteen and soon she will be on her way to college, which is why I have decided that the time to pursue my dream has finally arrived. As they say, ‘it’s never too late!’

I am zealous about travel combined with the desire to experience different cultures. I wish to meet people from different paths of life. I want to try classic cultural cuisines, listen to folktales, bask in the melody of cultural music from all across the world, participate in local dances and festivities, while also hearing the natives narrate their life experiences to me. Perhaps, I simply wish to garner a taste for anything and everything that piques my interest. After all, I have based the entirety of my life on the motto, ‘You only live once, so make the most of it.’

The end won’t matter, as it’s the journey that I shall remember!
